Natalie Toms took up her position as Counsellor (Economic & Global Issues) at the British Embassy in Berlin in summer 2022, having spent the previous five years as Economic Counsellor at the British High Commission in New Delhi, where she led discussions with the Indian Government on economic, trade & climate (including COP26) policy and oversaw the UK Government’s development work in India. Prior to that Natalie had a long career in HM Treasury, the UK’s Finance Ministry, including as head of the team that produced the 2016 Budget. She has a BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Economics from the University of London.
