Dr. Claudia Major

Dr Claudia Major is Head of Research Division in the International Security Division at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) Berlin. Her research, advisory work and publications focus on security and defense policy in Europe (EU, NATO, Germany, UK, France). Previous experiences include the EU Institute for Security Studies (Paris), the Center for Security Studies of the ETH Zurich, the German Foreign Office, and Sciences Po Paris. Claudia graduated from the Free University Berlin and Sciences Po Paris and holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham, UK.
