Dr Martin Heipertz is Head of Division ‘European Policy‘ in the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin. From March to June 2014 he was Adviser to European election lead candidate Jean-Claude Juncker in economic and financial affairs. Prior to that he also worked as Private Secretary to State Secretary Thomas Steffen and as Deputy Head of Office to Minister Wolfgang Schäuble. He was furthermore Senior Officer to the Board of Directors at the European Investment Bank and Member of the Policy Planning Staff in the European Affairs Unit in the Federal Ministry of Defence.
Dr Martin Heipertz is Honorary Fellow of the University of Oxford. He is also an author and has published extensively.
